Vegan Green Bean Casserole

This classic holiday dish is good anytime of the year. It is made with a fresh mushroom cream sauce that is amazing. This is an all time favorite that my kids absolutely love.

16 oz fresh green beans
1 medium onion chopped
1 cup chopped mushrooms
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
3/4 cup vegetable broth
1 cup almond milk
1 cup crispy fried onion
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cook green beans in 2 tablespoons water for 5 minutes. Saute onion and mushrooms in small amount of water for 2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add the flour and blend into onions and mushroom until dissolved. Then add broth and almond milk. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Next, add mix green beans and the mushroom sauce together in a baking dish. Mix in some crispy fried onions and sprinkle the rest on top. Bake for 15 minutes.
